a muted film frame: quincéy in round glasses and a knit sweater, looking down and away, hands folded.

peace • poems

poetic excerpts... eight.

a step into nothingness who became everything imagination craved; us.

april 2025 • audio, 3:38

our bodies.

perhaps we are undivided
so all that remains
observation response decision; its ignorance
feeling plays between notes
rests
our sensation refused meaning
only to exist within us reverberant contained
whose only [such a nefarious, only] harm is [never quantified
in other’d &loved lives impacted misplaced; lost] our interior with
unfelt damage

a nullification of nervous capacity, capability?
culpable in all matters; even in defense
animals earthlings harm
unfelt wounds seldom heal[ing] instead writhe
until the tormented expression of softness; rage’s last breath

how rage is expressed, made complete, in softness?
it is not

nor is it with its opposite; brutality
&both require living while offering our
existence; if transaction is our only means
of emotional reciprocation, then iii digress
inside an
intention who refused meaning
merely yearning to be heard
suffering plays between notes
requires rests
[unrequited]

melodies demand silence to pierce
our wayward lives; to demand pause
our healing-in-action breathing
between
notes
&their break

we
have
longed

languished in living alongside a brutal
beautiful kind of rage who demands
reckoning
recognition’s
reconciliation; a bliss born
on pages inked by those who held
observation gruesome
a neglected gatekeeper
who approved happiness’s ill-equipped yet
ambitious understudy; oblivion

soft

iii play this music for
which iii posses no desire
rest is spoken in languages
who offend me with inferment
finally iii am fooled bywith knowing

soft

revolution requires rest
[l]earned bywith experience
iii misunderstood
iii thought iii [knew]

our stillness in motion

ouí.
